Mr. Romney is continuing to pick up steam. In this poll by the acclaimed National Journal Mr. Romney vaults up a notch to #2 behind only John McCain.
2.
MITT ROMNEY (R)
Massachusetts governor
Last Ranking: 3
Think Romney’s feeling better about that decision not to seek a second term? The sole reason we finally put Romney ahead of Allen is that Allen’s ‘06 re-election is becoming a distraction. Plus, the more we hear about Romney’s financial network, the more we wonder if McCain’s going to have company in the $100 million circle. Between the Mormon financial network, his Bain Capital friends and his own wealth, it’s safe to assume Romney’s going to be among the top three candidates simply because of resources.

As this piece states, Mr. Romney makes a bold move in visiting John McCain’s home state to test the political waters of the desert.

It’s nice to see Mr. Romney get more national exposure, and this article on msnbc.com does a fine job indeed.

I’m sorry that the blog went dormant (just like I didn’t want to happen), but before I had the chance to get Ryan K. all set up my daughter was lifeflighted by helicopter to a hospital 5 hours from our home. I won’t go into a lot of details, other than to say she was recently diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, and it’s just been an overwhelmingly difficult experience. I’m hoping to catch up on the blog over the next few days, and get everything back to where it was. Please have patience

I’m in total agreement with Mr. Romney’s policy.
“Governor Romney believes pardons should be granted under the most rare and extraordinary circumstances,” Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom said.
I really find it amazing that someone with this type of conviction expects that it should just be expunged.
One South Shore man rejected by Romney said he feels he deserved “a second chance.” The man, who requested anonymity, wanted a pardon for armed robbery, weapons and drunken driving charges [Author Emphasis] from the 1970s so he and his wife can be foster parents. “My criminal offenses are 30 years in the past. I’m 52 now,” he said.
Mr. Romney definitely wouldn’t be a Clinton.

Elect Romney in 2008 on FoxNews.
I’m not really into attention like this (the point to this site is to promote Mr. Romney, and for that I am grateful to be of service to him) but, every once in a while it makes me feel good to know that all this work that I’ve been doing for the past almost ten months is being noticed by others. If you go to the foxnews site and click on video (it’s on the top red bar of the page), then click on tech, there is a story about cyberpolitics. In the story it shows this site, and mentions it.
I really do thank you for continuing to visit, and learn more about Mr. Romney.

The Bay State’s top Catholic politicians won’t be at Archbishop Sean P. O’Malley’s elevation to cardinal Friday at the Vatican. But Gov. Mitt Romney, a Mormon, will attend.
The move gives Romney, who continues to woo support for a 2008 presidential bid, a chance to further his ties to Catholics, evangelical Protestants and other conservative Christians.

I know that he’s not “officially” running, but it sure looks like it to me.

Scott Helman of The Boston Globe gives a run down of what sounds like a rip roaring good ole time at the St. Patricks Day Breakfast in South Boston.
