The only thing I am worried about is the Mormon thing. I think Romney is a real conservative even though he comes from Taxachusetts! As a Christian, I have been told by my church that they are not quite Christian because they added to the bible and that anyone who adds to the bible is a cult. I think they are right and so I can’t vote for him. Maybe that will have an influence on him if he is president and we all know from the terrible Clinton Years that you cannot seperate values from politics!

While I do not begrudge your religious beliefs. Although I wish you’d do some research on Romney’s faith before painting a wide swath of judgement on it. Are you saying that you’d rather vote for say a Hillary Clinton over a Mitt Romney because he happens to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints?
By the way here is a reference that you can read about the whole “adding to the bible” theory.

I’m LDS, and I’ve run across people before who’ve said that we’re not Christians. It seems to me that if people say they are Christians, you should accept their word for it–especially if their published statements and actions support their assertion–rather than a statement by someone who couldn’t really know what they believe.
How can Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Luterans, Presbyterians, etc., claim to be Christians when Christ isn’t even mentioned in the names of their churches?

All Christian faiths have selective and different interpretations of the bible, or everyone would just be a single “Christian” religious faith.
When voting for the President, you are not electing a pope or church leader…you are electing a man to lead and run the USA, wholly different criteria then selecting a pope.
Using religion as a proxy on who to vote for unfortunately will not yield the results you seek. Some of the most liberal, immoral Democrats unequivocally call themselves Christian.
Romney has a long track record from which you can evaluate his decision making and leadership skills. Romney is every bit of a Christian social conservative as President Bush, and possibly more so. Who would you prefer setting the moral tone and selecting judges for this country, Hillary Clinton and Russ Feingold or Mitt Romney?
